Vineyard Writing Ministry - From China ICOC 2

【1】Editor’s Notes ( Gao Xiong Translator: Isaac 2020.6.23 )

As Vineyard Writing Ministry (Overseas edition) is publishing its 2nd issue, it is already June 2020. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has become normalized while the team of Vineyard Writing Ministry enters the process of production. Three articles of the 2nd issue are related to dreams: AK spent his time fitting in many cities for the sake of the gospel; Yulan devoted her time and energy to her dream of being a volunteer; Yuanli’s dream of the gospel was purified.

Come, follow me! I hope that we can follow him, be inspired, return to the beginning, and even confidently look at God’s kingdom far away, no matter we are from China or other countries. I appreciate the translation work done by the brothers and sisters, and would like to thank those who are reading these articles.

Sayings of Translators

1 Benjamin—Guangzhou This brother’s life is enlightening practice of serving our Lord, showing us how a true disciple should do and what will happen to Lord’s loyal servant. I admire his obedience, his perseverance and his happiness. God, please prepare me and us me in the great ministry. “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”(Matthew 28:18-20)

2 Amanda—Guangzhou I could imagine the pictures described between the lines when I translated these two paragraphs, for example, when the children met the disciples once again, they hugged them and called them teachers. I spend a lot of time with children in my job every day. So I can totally understand how much the disciples were encouraged at that moment. And it is easier to understand that the Bible tells us why we shall receive the kingdom of God as a child, or we shall not enter it when spending more time with children.

3 Lynn—America “A volunteer's dream" was a testament to God's power. It was God who was working through all things. He delivered aid to his children through us. And he accomplished everything that we couldn't.

4 Ruth—Xiamen The more I translate, the more I have chance to know about the stories of other disciples. I really enjoy the process of translating and I am happy to learn from others about their lives. And I also look forward that my translation can help inspire others.

5 Lincoln—Guangzhou The feelings that I felt while reading this sister’s testimony were truly real. Even though I only see the words, I can still feel that she feels very painful when experiencing different setbacks and challenges. I am very grateful that this sister has different brethren and sisters who can be there and help her fight the pain she’s facing in a godly way, instead of being in a state of blaming God. Praise God.

6 Connie—Foshan For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. Matthew 25:29 Jesus told us a story about a master who entrusted his property to the servants when he was going on a journey, and the servants made different decision upon it. I don’t think I have an overwhelming number of properties, yet I think I will be mean to say I don’t have any. I am an ordinary girl who loves to read and enjoys the spiritual connection between words. I cannot perform miracle and I thank God for giving me this heart is able to worship him though every small things.

7 Isaac—HK It has been my honour to translate for the Vineyard Writing Ministry. The essence of translation reminds me of God’s work in confusing people’s languages for their arrogance and we should humbly convey his words and the stories of his work to the world. I love that God could use me this way and let me glorify him in translation.
